The French president Emmanuel Macron will make an official visit to Mauritius on November 20 and 21, 2025.
The visit will include official and popular activities such as a visit to the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, the Caudan Waterfront, and the inauguration of the new premises of the French Embassy in Moka.
Diplomatic meetings are planned between Macron, the Mauritian Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, and other government members to discuss cooperation on matters such as energy transition, artificial intelligence, environmental protection, maritime security, and regional cooperation, particularly relating to Madagascar. This visit marks the first by a French head of state to Mauritius since François Hollande and is seen as an important moment in Franco-Mauritian relations based on trust and cooperation.
