New Equal Opportunities Commission Members Take Oath of Office
The newly appointed Members of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), Mr Noor Muhammad Ally Meeajun and Mr Khemraj Sanmukhiya, took and subscribed the Oath of Office before the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Dharambeer Gokhool, yesterday at the State House, in Réduit.
Appointed for a four-year term under the Equal Opportunities Act, the two Members will serve on the independent statutory body responsible, among others, for investigating complaints of discrimination and promoting awareness of rights and responsibilities.
