Professor Tarun Khaitan of Public Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK, called on the Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, at the New Treasury Building, yesterday in Port-Louis.
Professor Khaitan is on visit to Mauritius upon the invitation of the Mauritius LSE Society Trust Fund, and will be delivering a series of lectures, mainly at the University of Mauritius.
Topics including challenges pertaining to the constitutional reform and the electoral system of Mauritius were at the core of discussions with the Prime Minister.
During his mission in the country, Mr Khaitan had a working session with the Senior Advisors to the Prime Minister on these matters.
