UAE’s Minister of State Al Nahyan calls on the Prime Minister

The Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mr Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, on Friday 09 June 2023,at the Treasury Building in Port-Louis.

Discussions between the Prime Minister and Mr Al Nahyan focused on reinforcing the existing bilateral relations between Mauritius and UAE as well as the possible avenues of cooperation.

Minister Al Nahyan and his delegation were on a one-day visit to Mauritius.

Mr Al Nahyan was appointed at the Federal Government as Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in February 2021. He served as UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia since 2017 and was also the President of the UAE Equestrian Federation in 2015-2016.

Mr Al Nahyan holds a postgraduate diploma in UAE Diplomacy and International Relations from the Emirates Diplomatic Academy in 2017. He enrolled in the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2015-2016 and also graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Media from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) – Abu Dhabi in 2012.
