As Chandrayaan 3 performed a soft landing on the Moon’s South Pole on Wednesday 23 August 2023, the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, posted on X, formerly Twitter, to congratulate the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Mr Narendra Modi, and the people of India on this remarkable success.

“Congratulations to Prime Minister@narendramodi and the people of India for making history. Chandrayaan 3’s safe landing near the South Pole of the Moon opens a new era of scientific discoveries” posted Prime Minister Jugnauth.

The Indian Prime Minister, in his reply yesterday, said “Thank you for your kind words my friend, PM@KumarJugnauth. The success of Chandrayaan-3 is a testament to the power of collective determination of the people of India”.
