The Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, had a working session with the National Security Adviser of the United Kingdom (UK), Mr Jonathan Powell, on the sovereignty of Chagos Archipelago, this evening, at the Treasury Building in Port-Louis.
Mr Powell was appointed, in September 2024, as the UK Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for negotiations with between the UK and Mauritius on the exercise of sovereignty over the Chagos Archipelago.
